Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Optical Interconnect Design Architect to define and drive next‑generation optical connectivity solutions for memory, AI accelerators and HPC platforms.

You will lead architecture development, technology pathfinding, feasibility analysis, and ecosystem engagements to enable scalable optical interconnects. The role spans photonic interposers, silicon photonics, co‑packaged optics, optical networking and heterogeneous integration, with emphasis on

Formación

• PhD or Master’s with strong research background in optics or photonics.
• Experience with optical interconnects, silicon photonics and high‑speed I/O.
• Ability to lead architecture studies and tradeoffs across electrical/optical interfaces.

Responsabilidades

• Define optical interconnect architectures for memory and AI platforms.
• Lead technology pathfinding and feasibility analyses for future interconnects.
• Drive PoC demonstrations and engage with internal/external partners.
• Evaluate PICs, modulators, detectors, waveguides, and integration options.
• Assess Optical Interposers, Co-Packaged Optics, and Near-Package Optics.
• Guide architecture decisions to meet bandwidth, energy, thermal, and quality goals.
