Etched.ai, Inc. is seeking an exceptional Optical Systems Engineer in San Jose, California. In this role, you will lead the definition and implementation of the optical interconnect architecture for our next-generation accelerator systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in optical interconnect design and development, along with a strong understanding of high-density compute systems.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in optical interconnect or photonic system design.
• Expertise in Co‑Packaged Optics (CPO) and Near‑Packaged Optics (NPO).
• Strong fundamentals in optical link engineering and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical link architecture for high-performance AI servers.
• Drive prototypes through definition and volume production.
• Partner with various engineering teams on electrical-optical interfaces.
