Job summary

EHN is seeking a friendly Optical Department receptionist in Wilsonville, OR. You will greet patients, assist with contact lens services, and coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient care. Strong cash handling and clerical skills are valued in this team-oriented role.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least one year of reception experience, ABO/NCLE certification, and the ability to perform yearly contact lens fittings. Flexibility to work evenings/weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of reception experience preferred or equivalent.
• Perform yearly contact lens fitting exam.
• Maintain ABO/NCLE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide World Class customer service.
• Assist patients with Contact Lens services, products, and fees; verify referrals and insurance benefits.
• Coordinate the flow of patients through the contact lens department to minimize wait time.
• Answer and direct incoming calls; respond promptly and professionally.
• Notify patients when orders are ready via phone, mail, or email.
• Maintain reception area, assist with clerical tasks and cash handling as needed.
• Protect patient information in line with HIPAA and regulations.
