Job summary

Walmart Optical retail team in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain displays, stock merchandise, and handle prescriptions and payments. You will educate members on eyewear usage, measure pupillary distance, and assist in frame repairs and lens orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED by hire or within 12 months.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Must obtain state-required optician licensure within 18 months of hire or entry.

Responsibilities

• Maintains optical merchandise presentation and stocking, signing and pricing.
• Sells optical products and services, assists customers with purchases, measurements, and repairs.
• Processes eyewear and contact lens orders, handles payments, returns, and refunds.
• Performs final inspection of eyewear and verifies prism and lens specifications.
• Troubleshoots equipment and coordinates repairs with labs/optometrists as needed.
• Supports OD services and collects payments for doctor/telehealth services.
