Job summary

Walmart Optical is hiring an associate to maintain merchandising in the Optical area, assist members with eyewear selections, measure pupillary distance, and process orders for frames and lenses. You will handle payments, insurance, and maintain inventory while following company policies.

Responsibilities include frame adjustments, lab coordination, and ensuring final eyewear quality before dispensing, with opportunities to learn ABO-related requirements and participate in ongoing staff training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or within 12 months of hire.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• state licensure requirements may apply for apprentice/optician roles.

Responsibilities

• Stock and present merchandise in Optical area according to policy.
• Assist members with eyewear decisions, take measurements, and process orders.
• Perform frame adjustments, lens measurements, and repairs as needed.
• Handle payments, returns, and insurance claims where applicable.
• Coordinate with labs/optometrists for status updates.
