Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in a distribution/logistics environment.
• Basic use of laptop, keyboard and 10-key typing.
• High attention to detail.
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ophthalmics knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate keying of lens and/or frame purchase order requirements into computer for electronic transmission to vendors and retrieving product from inventories for Rx/stock processing.
• Ability to access and interpret reports within software programs for inventory levels, purchase orders, fill rates, etc.
• Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory.
• Apply company promotions, policies and procedures in carrying out the order entry functions.
• Recheck completed Rx’s for correctness prior to issuing to lab for processing.
• Match vendor shipping memos and invoices and follow branch and accounting procedures for payments.
• Maintain lab operating system software update/procedures manual and keep work area neat and organized.
• Follow all attendance and safety rules; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Assist others to keep work current and meet deadlines; cooperate with others.
• Provide training, work direction, and guidance for less experienced employees; attend training meetings as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
