Job summary

Walman Optical is seeking a Distribution Clerk (Inventory and Lens Order) to ensure accurate entry of material orders and product selection for Rx and stock orders. You will support lab processing by ensuring correct orders and timely data entry.

The role requires basic office tech skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years in distribution/logistics. This is a full-time on-site position in Michigan with potential benefits and a competitive rewards package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in a distribution/logistics environment.
• Basic use of laptop, keyboard and 10-key typing.
• High attention to detail and good reading, writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate keying of lens and/or frame purchase orders into the computer for electronic transmission to vendors.
• Access and interpret reports related to inventory levels, purchase orders and fill rates.
• Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory.
• Follow promotions, policies and procedures in order entry.
• Recheck Rx for correctness before issuing to lab for processing.
• Match vendor shipping memos and invoices and submit documents for payment.
