Job summary

You will develop test plans, perform hands-on optical and electrical measurements, analyze results with Python/MATLAB, and collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing to ensure performance, reliability, and reproducibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in EE, optics or physics.
• Experience in optical component testing and characterization.
• Strong understanding of optical principles and fiber optics.
• Hands-on with OSAs, power meters, BERTs, and benches.
• Proficient in Python, MATLAB, JMP, Excel for data analysis.
• Familiar with industry standards (Telcordia, IEC).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for evaluating optical components.
• Perform hands-on optical, electrical, and environmental testing.
• Analyze data, generate reports, and recommend actions.
• Collaborate with R&D and product engineering to set specs.
• Identify failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and propose fixes.
• Support automation of test systems and data analysis tools.
• Maintain documentation of procedures and results.
• Stay updated with industry trends.
