Job summary

Qualifications

• Option 1: Completion of 2 or more years of college.
• Option 2: 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• Option 3: 2 years’ general work experience, including 1 year’s optical experience and high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Leads department sales growth through effective merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution.
• Forecasts sales trends and aligns product assortments with customer needs, community demographics, and local patterns.
• Monitors competitive pricing and adjusts strategies to achieve financial targets.
• Leads community outreach to promote optical services and strengthen local relationships.
• Oversees measurements, fittings, and contact lens education under supervision.
• Ensures HIPAA confidentiality and compliant documentation.
• Coaches and develops the optical team through hiring, training, and performance management.
• Coordinates with labs, suppliers, and optometrists on orders and status.
• Promotes optical technologies to improve accuracy and customer experience.
