Job summary

Walmart Vision Center in TEGA CAY, SC is seeking an experienced Optical Department Leader. You will oversee sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, and inventory oversight while ensuring service standards and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading the optical team, supervising measurements and fittings under supervision, and coordinating with optometrists and labs. Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced retail optical environment.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Completion of 2 or more years of college.
• Option 2: 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience.
• Option 3: 2 years' general work experience, including 1 year's optical experience and high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Meets eligibility requirements to work in the Vision Center, including minimum age of 18, certification, registration, licensure, and other qualifications required by company policy and applicable regulations.
• Active licensure/registration.
• Active ABO.

Responsibilities

• Leads department sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution.
• Sets and upholds high service standards to ensure prompt, accurate resolution of member inquiries and concerns.
• Leads, coaches, and develops the optical team through hiring, training, performance management, and recognition.
• Oversees precise eyewear measurements, fittings, adjustments, and contact lens education under applicable supervision.
• Oversees appointment scheduling workflows, pre-testing procedures, and payment collection for doctor or telehealth services.
