Job summary

Sam's Club in BISMARCK, ND seeks an Optical Associate to stock, price, and present merchandise in the Optical area. You will assist members with eyewear decisions, measure pupillary distance, and process orders and payments using POS systems.

Role involves frame adjustments, repairs, and final eyewear inspections, with collaboration with labs and optometrists. Training and certification updates are provided as needed to maintain ABO/licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
• ABO certification must be obtained within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Willingness to obtain state licensure or apprenticeship where required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Stock and maintain the Optical area, signage, pricing and inventory.
• Assist members with eyewear purchases, adjustments and repairs and record orders.
• Process patient visits, tests and billing in accordance with HIPAA and company policy.
• Coordinate with labs/optometrists on orders and product updates.
