Job summary

Sam's Club in Westworth Village, TX is seeking an Optical Associate to maintain the Optical area, assist with eyewear purchases, and process orders. You will measure pupillary distance, adjust frames, and support contact lens insertion and hygiene guidance.

The role involves handling insurance claims and payments, operating the POS, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and store policies. Training and certification are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/within 12 months.
• ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• Willingness to obtain state/board licensure as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Stock and merchandise display maintenance across the Optical area per policy.
• Handle claims, returns, zoning, and organize merchandise; manage damaged goods.
• Assist customers with eyewear purchases, measurements, and frame/lens repairs and orders.
• Process optical orders and verify prescription information; interact with labs and optometrists.
