Job summary

Walmart Sam's Club in Irving, TX is seeking an Optical Associate, Non-Certified to stock and present eyewear, assist members with purchases, and maintain the Optical area in accordance with store policies. Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent upon job entry or within 12 months of hire in order to sit for American Board of Opticianry (ABO) exam.
• Meet the requirements to work as an Optical associate (for example, minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the Optical organization and/or by State Boards of Opticianry, as applicable.)

Responsibilities

• Maintains merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays and pricing merchandise.
• Receives and stocks merchandise in the Optical area and assists in payments, returns, and exchanges.
• Educates members on eyewear usage and care and supports contact lens insertions, removals, and hygiene guidance.
• Performs final inspection of eyewear, measures pupillary distance, and verifies prescription information.
