Job summary

Walmart's Sam's Club in Mansfield, TX is seeking an Optical Associate (Non-Certified) to support eyewear sales, frame adjustments, and patient care. You will educate members on eyewear usage, assist with measuring pupillary distance, and process orders and payments in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED; ABO certification within 15 months of hire is expected. Competitive hourly pay with benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent on entry or within 12 months to sit ABO exam.
• Must obtain ABO certification within 15 months of hire.
• State licensure requirements for apprentice/optician within 3 months after hours.
• Preferred: experience in health care or retail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optical displays, stock merchandise, and handle claims and returns.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions, measure pupillary distance, and adjust frames.
• Process optical orders and verify prescription information.
• Operate POS and handle payments, refunds, and exchanges.
