Job summary

Walmart in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking an Optical Associate for part-time shifts. You will stock, display, price, and process purchases in the Optical area, educate members on eyewear care, take measurements, adjust frames, and handle prescriptions and lab coordination.

The role also supports OD services, processes, and HIPAA-compliant records. Candidates must have a high school diploma, be willing to obtain ABO certification within 15 months, and meet state requirements for apprentice/optician

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or within 12 months of hire.
• ABO certification within 15 months of hire or job entry.
• State licensure/registration as apprentice optician or licensed optician as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise and maintain optical area per policy.
• Process member purchases and returns using POS system.
• Educate members on eyewear usage and care; measure pupillary distance.
• Adjust and repair frames; complete eyewear orders with prescription data.
• Coordinate with labs/optometrists on orders and status.
