Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor in Ohio to oversee package sortation and staff, while promoting the Safety Above All culture. You will supervise handlers and administrative staff, ensuring compliance with FXG policies and regulations.

You will hire, coach and evaluate performance, coach on safety practices, and drive daily operational improvements. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to motivate diverse teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree in related area or 2+ years of college courses towards a degree
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
• Six (6) months experience required in package handler or supervisory roles or similar fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and manage day-to-day operations and staff.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate, and manage staff performance.
• Organize, direct, and control daily operations.
• Ensure safe and efficient sortation and manage trailers.
• Analyze performance and implement improvement plans.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate updates to the team.
• Administer safety initiatives and employee relations strategies.
• Train new employees on duties and FXG policies.
• Mentor junior supervisors and develop key skills.
• Adapt to change and maintain urgency while engaging staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
