Job summary
Orca Bio is seeking an Operations Supervisor, Logistics & Cold Chain Operations in Sacramento to lead the logistics and packaging teams across live courier runs and GMP packing. You will ensure on-time shipments, chain-of-custody, and regulatory compliance while developing a high-performing, cross-functional team.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 5–7 years in logistics, 2+ years of people management, and knowledge of IATA/DOT and GMP/cGMP.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience.
- 2+ years of direct people-management experience.
- Experience leading logistics and cold chain operations in regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of IATA, DOT, and GMP/cGMP compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead logistics and cold chain teams, setting clear expectations and accountability.
- Be present during active runs, handoffs, and coverage crunches.
- Balance workload across Sacramento sites and coordinate day/night handoffs.
- Oversee vein-to-vein performance and disruption response to minimize delays.
- Maintain chain-of-custody, temperature data, and audit-ready records.
