Orca Bio's Sacramento site seeks a Logistics Planner to act as the administrative backbone of patient-connected transport. Working with the Logistics Program Manager, you will schedule runs, coordinate porters and couriers, and maintain calendars and batch paperwork with precision.

The role emphasizes operational responsibility, cross-training as a backup specialist, and live run oversight. Training is provided; 0–2 years of logistics experience is fine, and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of logistics or operations experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, professional written communication.
• Willing to work flexible/off-shift hours as needed.
• Experience with calendar, email, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Run Scheduling & Coordination: schedule, reschedule, and notify stakeholders for runs; manage porter availability and run assignments; complete entries for scheduled runs; manage sample loop scheduling.
• Third-Party Courier (3PC) Coordination: submit 3PC requests; follow up on requests; review itineraries for accuracy and align with batch timelines.
• Batch Documentation & Production Planning Support: prepare batch paperwork; create calendar tracking events; monitor weather and surface risks.
• Program Communications: draft weekly updates; act as liaison between porters, vendors, and internal teams.
• Financial Administration: reconcile receipts and process hotel-related pre-authorizations for porter travel.
• Specialist Coverage (Cross-Trained Backup): provide live run-day oversight; respond to incidents; make same-day scheduling decisions; support onboarding logistics.
