Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a Logistics Planner in Sacramento, CA to serve as the administrative backbone of vein-to-vein logistics operations. You will coordinate runs, schedule OrcaPorters and couriers, manage calendars, and prepare batch paperwork to ensure timely transport and compliance.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will learn internal systems and courier protocols with comprehensive training. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with on-site schedule

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional experience in logistics, operations, or related field.
• Clear, professional written communication skills for courier-facing and internal correspondence.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Run Scheduling & Coordination: reschedule/cancel runs, schedule OrcaPorters, document in OrcaLink, manage sample loop scheduling.
• Third-Party Courier (3PC) Coordination: submit 3PC requests, track assignments, review itineraries.
• Batch Documentation & Production Planning Support: prepare batch paperwork, create calendar tracking events, monitor weather for route risks.
• Program Communications: draft weekly updates, coordinate with porters, vendors, and internal teams.
• Financial Administration: reconcile receipts across Brex, Concur, and OrcaPorter; process hotel pre-authorizations.
• Specialist Coverage: backup for the Specialist, Logistics; oversee live runs, handle incidents, coordinate cold chain during coverage.
