Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace, located in Brunswick, GA, seeks an Operations Engineer III to provide direct technical support to manufacturing operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• 4 years manufacturing engineering, design engineering, or related technical experience.
• Position Purpose: Under moderate supervision, provides direct technical support to manufacturing operations and internal customers. Develops procedures and processes to streamline and optimize manufacturing operations.
• Essential Functions: provide and maintain detailed work instructions, drive quality improvements, efficiency improvements, material presentation enhancements, manage the daily work plan, provide metrics for quality and schedule performance, and coordinate engineering and tooling changes as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform RCCA analysis on quality defects with the expectation of first-time quality.
• Perform technical studies of a complex nature, analyze operations and define equipment/tooling needs.
• Contribute to planning and coordinating manufacturing and engineering projects for process development.
• Perform producibility studies from engineering drawings to identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing.
• Determine and develop solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
