Job summary

Amazon is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern program in Washington (Kent) designed to develop leadership in fast-paced fulfillment environments. You will coach and mentor hourly Associates, run a shift, and deliver an internship project in partnership with site leadership.

This on-site internship emphasizes hands-on learning, people leadership, and operational execution. Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s program and prepared to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Experience working in a team environment and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Shadow a manager and lead a daily team huddle.
• Support operations with safety, quality and productivity focus.
