Job summary

Eye Center of Texas seeks a seasoned Surgery Coordination Manager to lead the surgical scheduling team across multiple locations. You will oversee scheduling, pre-op coordination, insurance authorizations, and patient communications to ensure accuracy and an exceptional patient experience.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in surgical scheduling, strong leadership, and proficiency with EHR systems; Nextech/ICP experience is preferred. Travel to practice locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Surgical Scheduler/Coordinator; ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Experience with EHR software; Nextech/ICP experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of contracted insurance plans and procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to all practice locations as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the surgery coordination team across locations.
• Ensure scheduling accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to surgeon preferences.
• Coordinate pre-op testing, insurance authorizations, and patient communications.
• Develop SOPs and collaborate with leadership on strategic goals.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and post-operative follow-up.
