Job summary

You will manage scheduling with providers, update the EMR, verify insurance and pre-surgical requirements, and ensure patient communications are precise and compassionate.

Qualifications

• Must have scheduling experience in a surgical or medical setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office- and hospital-based procedures with providers and time slots.
• Coordinate with anesthesia groups and hospital staff as needed.
• Enter notes and instructions in the EMR for procedures and tests.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain/communicate pre-authorization when required.
• Communicate clearly with patients about preparations, arrival times, and questions.
