Job summary

SEES Group, LLC in Franklin, TN is seeking a Surgery Counselor to coordinate all aspects of ophthalmology surgical scheduling and patient experience.

You will serve as the liaison between patients, surgeons, and facilities, handling pre- and post-operative appointments, insurance authorizations, and patient education, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high-quality service. Educating patients on procedures and costs, and ensuring smooth workflow to reduce delays and improve satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare admin degree preferred.
• Minimum two years surgical scheduling experience.
• COA preferred.
• Experience with ophthalmology scheduling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgeries with providers and facilities for ophthalmology.
• Communicate dates, instructions, and pre/post-op requirements.
• Verify insurance authorizations and patient coverage.
• Provide financial information and payment plans.
• Maintain organized scheduling and HIPAA compliance.
• Ensure post-op follow-ups and continuity of care.
