Job summary

A leading ophthalmology practice in the Town of Florida is seeking an experienced Practice Manager / Administrator to oversee clinical operations, administrative systems, and staff performance. This role requires 5+ years of healthcare management experience, preferably in ophthalmology, as well as strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. The position is full-time and involves working 45-50+ hours weekly. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and competitive salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare management experience, preferably in ophthalmology.
• Prior oversight of clinical operations in a medical practice is necessary.
• Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinic operations and patient flow.
• Support physician productivity through clinical operations oversight.
• Lead, supervise, and evaluate administrative and clinical support staff.
• Ensure efficient scheduling, staffing, and workflow.
• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement process improvements.
• Oversee billing, collections, compliance, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and ophthalmology regulations.
• Serve as a central coordination point between physicians, staff, and vendors.
• Assist with planning and logistics for a national ophthalmology conference.
• Make minor website edits when necessary.
