Job summary

Advocate Medical Group is seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to support providers, coordinate appointments, registrations, and billing while maintaining accurate medical records. You will interact with patients, navigate the payer system, and help ensure a compassionate, efficient experience across the care team.

You will work 28 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with potential on-call or weekend coverage as needed, in a dynamic ambulatory setting that values quality care and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult caller/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient Services: Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Billing Services: Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
• Medical Record Services: Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
