Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking a Patient Services Representative/Surgery Front Office Receptionist to be the friendly first impression for patients. You will greet patients, collect essential information, and support the flow of care through the front office and surgical schedule.

Work involves coordinating with nurses, anesthesia team, and insurance personnel. Excellent communication and multitasking in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting are essential, with a Monday–Friday schedule

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior hospital or ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Greet each patient personally and gather important information for their visit.
• Prepare patient for admission with correct personal information and appropriate paperwork.
• Assemble medical records and ensure accuracy of surgery-related logs.
• Coordinate with nurses and anesthesia team for daily surgery scheduling and patient flow.
• Assist in scheduling surgeries and communicating with surgeons and insurance department.
