Job summary

Ascend Vision Partners in the Orlando area seeks a Practice Supervisor to oversee ophthalmology clinic operations and a mixed clinical/non-clinical team. You will train staff, monitor performance and ensure compliance with clinical standards while coordinating with physicians and leadership to optimize patient flow.

The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, documenting performance plans, and supporting process improvements within a patient-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years in healthcare operations, analyst or administrator roles.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, healthcare administration or related field.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe/Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day clinic operations and staff, ensuring quality patient care.
• Coordinates clinical flow, scheduling, intake and testing procedures.
• Provides training and evaluates staff competency and performance.
• Serves as liaison between providers, technicians and patients to ensure satisfaction.
• Reviews and updates clinical protocols to improve efficiency.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and supports implementation.
