Job summary

EyeHealth Northwest in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking an ophthalmic technician to provide clinical support, triage patients, schedule appointments and manage communications with patients and pharmacies. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of ophthalmology experience, high school diploma, and COA/COT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education and experience as an ophthalmic technician required.
• COA or COT certification preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding for ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to triage questions and schedule patient appointments and tests.
• Answer incoming calls regarding medical questions or patient concerns.
• Respond to messages left overnight or over the weekend and from the portal.
• Fill out Worker Compensation and Disability forms and requests.
• Provide optical and contact lens prescriptions to patients as needed.
• Coordinate outside testing and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Maintain HIPAA and OSHA compliance and professional communication.
