Socket.dev seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to join our ophthalmology team in Wayne, New Jersey. This full‑time role offers 40 hours weekly, with Mon-Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and occasional Saturday mornings, plus possible travel to Randolph.

Responsibilities include gathering patient information, performing ophthalmic testing, assisting in minor surgeries and imaging, and coordinating patient flow. Benefits include health, dental, and 401(k) matching.

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
