Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in Philadelphia area is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. You will gather comprehensive patient information, perform preliminary ophthalmic testing, and assist with procedures to support patient-centered care.

Hours run 7:30AM–5:00PM with a 32-hour cap weekly and locations including Plymouth Meeting, Nazareth, and Sewell, NJ. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates who bring passion for excellence and teamwork to our

Qualifications

  • Must be an Ophthalmic Technician with prior experience in an ophthalmology setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather comprehensive patient information and assist with ophthalmic testing.
  • Perform preliminary ophthalmic exams (visual acuity, pupil responses, etc.).
  • Administer diagnostic tests (OCT, perimetry, ophthalmic photography).
  • Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
  • Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms; support clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops and support clinical operations.

Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team as an Ophthalmic Technician!

$1000 sign on bonus

Up to 32 hours a week. Locations are variable depending on OR time, includes Plymouth Meeting, Nazareth and Sewell, NJ locations.

Hours: 7:30AM - 5:00PM. Half day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Your Impact:
  • Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
  • Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops
  • Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.

  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.

  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
