Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in Rhode Island seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. The role involves collecting patient information, performing preliminary tests, and supporting ophthalmologists during procedures.

You will conduct tests such as visual acuity, OCT, and photography, assist in minor surgeries, and help manage patient flow. A passion for patient care, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Elevate patient care by gathering comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists.
• Master ophthalmic testing, including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with staff.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Contribute to clinic efficiency with clinical and administrative tasks.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
