Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health in Hyattsville, MD is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. This role requires travel to two additional locations and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform ophthalmic testing, assist in minor surgeries, administer eye drops, and help manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms. A High School Diploma is required, COA is a bonus, and prior ophthalmic experience is

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information for accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct preliminary examinations, including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: Certification Required.
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

Mon - Fri 8:00 AM 5:00 PM. Rotating Saturday's.

Travel Needed to two additional locations.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
