Job summary

Paylocity in Bridgeport, CT seeks an Ophthalmic Scribe & Technician to join a growing ophthalmology team. Travel between practices is required to support patient care and clinical operations.

You will perform ophthalmic testing, assist in surgeries, and help maintain an efficient workflow while ensuring high-quality patient experiences across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
• Proven ophthalmic scribing experience.
• Proficiency in medical office procedures.
• Willing to travel between practices.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing such as visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Administer tests like OCT, perimetry, and fundus photography.
• Assist in minor surgeries and scribing.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Support efficient and organized clinical workflow.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists scribing during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel between practices
