Job summary

Paylocity in Marlton, NJ is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our ophthalmology team. You will perform preliminary examinations, OCT, perimetry, and assist in minor surgeries, while delivering compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate has proven ophthalmic tech experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment. A high school diploma is required, COA certification is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ophthalmic technician experience.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures.
• Ability to perform administrative duties and other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Administer advanced diagnostics: OCT, perimetry, ophthalmic photography.
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms and support staff as needed.
