Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. The role involves traveling between two Meriden practices to support comprehensive patient care, testing, and procedures.

You will work closely with ophthalmologists, perform advanced diagnostic testing, assist in procedures, and help maintain efficient clinic operations. A COA certification is preferred but not required for all candidates.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists to support accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Administer diagnostics such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth, organized workflow.

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

MUST travel between practices 2 Meriden medical practices.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
