Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our Ophthalmology team in New Jersey. The role involves gathering patient data, performing preliminary ophthalmic tests, and assisting in diagnostics such as OCT and ophthalmic photography.

You will support surgeons during minor procedures and help streamline clinic flow to ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate brings experience as an Ophthalmic Technician, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• COA certification is a plus and preferred.
• Experience as Ophthalmic Technician or similar role.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic testing and clinical procedures beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient information and assist ophthalmologists with exams.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing (visual acuity, pupil responses).
• Perform diagnostics such as OCT, perimetry, and photography.
• Assist in minor procedures and laser treatments as needed.
• Support clinic workflow and patient flow between exam and imaging rooms.

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
