Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician & Scribe to join our growing ophthalmology team. You will work closely with ophthalmologists to gather patient information, perform testing and support minor surgical procedures.

The ideal candidate has proven ophthalmic tech & scribe experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A high school diploma is required; COA is a plus.

• Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician & Scribe.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information with ophthalmologists.
• Conduct preliminary ophthalmic testing (e.g., visual acuity, pupillary responses).
• Perform advanced diagnostics (OCT, perimetry, photography).
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms; support staff as needed.
• Administer eye drops (Certification Required).
• Handle clinical and administrative tasks to maintain efficient workflow.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
