Job summary

North Georgia Eye Associates in Gainesville, GA seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to join our patient-focused team. You will obtain and document patient history, measure visual acuity, perform automated refraction, and assist physicians during exams in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

You will administer eye drops, enter data into EMR, maintain instruments, and provide courteous patient services across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Determine visual acuity.
• Perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments and irrigation as ordered.
• Enter data into EMR and support front-office tasks.
• Provide patient services and assist physicians.
• Maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
• Travel to other offices as required.
