Monday-Friday, approximately 10hr days 1-2x/week; which days may vary each week.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary

The Ophthalmic Technician PD, under general supervision of an Ophthalmologist, performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians, nurses, and division personnel. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

The Vision Center is located at the main hospital campus and some travel to satellite locations may be required.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience

1+ years’ experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant required; previous Pediatric Ophthalmology experience preferred; basic knowledge of eye examination techniques; bilingual preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification

Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant preferred. Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician preferred.

Pay Scale Information

USD $32.00 - USD $32.00
