Job summary

Northwest Eye in Maple Grove is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to join our clinic team. You will perform diagnostic testing and patient work-ups under physician supervision to support accurate diagnoses.

Expect responsibilities such as visual acuity testing, keratometry and tonometry, and assisting with exams while educating patients and keeping rooms ready. This role offers a clear career path within a dynamic eye-care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Optometry or ophthalmology experience preferred.
• JCAHPO certification preferred.
• Contact lens experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document subjective and objective ophthalmic testing for examinations.
• Educate patients regarding diagnostic testing and clinic visits.
• Open/close exam rooms and ensure equipment is clean and ready; stock supplies.
• Inform patients about the purpose of tests and their effects during testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
