Job summary

Northwest Eye Clinic in Maple Grove, MN is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to perform diagnostic testing and patient work-up under physician supervision. The home base is Maple Grove with periodic travel to Crosstown, Golden Valley, St. Anthony and Wayzata locations.

Role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 7am–5pm, with starting pay at $21.00 per hour. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and ophthalmic experience; JCAHPO certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Optometry or ophthalmology experience preferred.
• JCAHPO certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document subjective and objective ophthalmic testing to support examinations.
• Educate patients regarding diagnostic testing and their clinic visit.
• Open and close exam rooms, ensure equipment is clean and ready for the doctor; stock supplies.
• Inform patients of the purpose of test performed and how they will be affected.
• All other duties as assigned.
