Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners in McLean, VA is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician I to join our patient care team. The role supports ophthalmologists with diagnostic and treatment procedures and handles related administrative tasks. On-the-job training is available for the right candidate with a passion for patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical field experience such as medical assistant, scribe, CNA or similar.
• Experience with EMR tools and MS Office is preferred.
• Experience as an ophthalmic technician or scribe is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information.
• Perform visual function tests and diagnostic procedures.
• Use ophthalmic equipment and document findings.
• Inform ophthalmologist of changes in vision.
• Dilate eyes for exams and educate patients on medications.
• Explain contact lens usage and dispense guidance.
• Assist with inventory management.
