Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners in Harrisburg, PA, seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to support providers with diagnostic tests and administrative tasks. We offer on-the-job training and a clear career path toward ophthalmic technician roles.

You will take medical histories, perform tests such as tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy, and use tools like the Humphrey analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements. Dilate eyes and instruct on eye drops and contact lenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in medical field or as ophthalmic technician is a plus.
• Experience with EMR tools and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information.
• Perform visual function tests and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize Humphrey field analyzer and OCT for eye measurements.
• Dilate eyes and educate patients on eye drops and contact lenses.
• Assist ophthalmologists and manage inventory.
