Job summary

Bay Area Retina Associates is a Bay Area ophthalmology group seeking a detail-oriented team member to support doctors across multiple offices. You will test and document eye function, perform room setup, assist with OCT/FAF procedures, handle scheduling, insurance tasks, and scribing in the EMR.

Travel between Pleasanton/Castro Valley/San Leandro offices may be required. Ideal candidates have excellent patient relations, multitasking abilities, and some medical clinic experience.

Qualifications

• One year of past medical clinic experience preferred but not required.
• Minimum high school diploma. College degree or continuing education courses desirable.

Responsibilities

• Test patient’s eye function and record results in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms at start and end of day; restock and sterilize equipment.
• Assist doctors with procedures, scribe results, and coordinate patient flow.
• Handle insurance verification, authorizations, eligibility, and co-pay collection.
