Job summary

Associated Retina Consultants is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians, perform preliminary work-ups, and document encounters in the EMR. You will perform OCT, tonometry, visual acuity, Amsler grid, pupil exams, and other tests, assisting during examinations and maintaining equipment.

Shifts can range 8-14 hours, with Saturday hours for the Phoenix office; travel to other ARC locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant certification in ophthalmic assisting.
• Willing to obtain OSC within 30 days of hire if not certified.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary work-up of patients and document encounters in EMR.
• Assist physicians during examinations and ensure patient follow-up communication.
• Maintain and clean equipment and supply exam rooms.
• Perform OCT, Tonometry with Perkins and Tonopen, Visual Acuity, Amsler Grid, Muscle Testing, Pupil Exams.
• Travel to other ARC locations may be required; attendance at staff meetings.
