A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join their team. This full-time position involves performing diagnostic tests, educating patients, and ensuring high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and COA certification, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Perform the full spectrum of technician responsibilities, collaborating with coworkers and physicians. Provide technical assistance in evaluating patients' ocular systems, perform diagnostic tests, and educate patients. Maintain effective communication with patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring high-quality patient care and professional representation of EHN.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not supervise but provides guidance and training to team members.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Skill Levels: Levels I through IV with increasing proficiency and responsibilities, including certifications and subspecialty skills.
Qualifications: High school diploma, COA certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months), with preferred experience. Knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, strong organizational skills, and ability to work flexibly are essential.
Physical and Work Environment: Office-based, moderate noise, requiring manual dexterity, occasional standing/walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Additional Information: Entry level, full-time position in the healthcare industry, based in Portland, OR, with salary range $46,523–$82,975.
