Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our ophthalmology team. The position offers Mon-Fri 7:30a-5p hours, up to 29 hours per week, with a 3-day work pattern. Travel to Hatboro and Collegeville may be required as part of the role.

You will assist ophthalmologists, perform preliminary testing, and support in procedures, while helping streamline patient flow and maintain clinic efficiency.

Join Our Growing Ophthalmology Team as an Ophthalmic Technician!

Hours of Practice are Mon-Fri 7:30a-5p. Up to 29 hours per week. We need 3 days a week for this role.

Likely travel to Hatboro and Collegeville

Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

Your Impact:
  • Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
  • Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
  • Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
  • Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.

  • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.
