Job summary

Quality Temp Staffing is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmology Technician to join our healthcare team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate assists providers with patient care, ophthalmic testing, and clinical procedures while maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining histories, administering eye drops, and documenting results in the EHR. Must have ophthalmic certification and CPR/BLS, with Spanish bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ophthalmic Technician certification preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate coverage needs.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for ophthalmic examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain patient history, medications, visual acuity, and pupillary response.
  • Assist providers with examinations and administer eye drops as directed.
  • Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing and imaging when needed.
  • Maintain instruments, document results in the EHR accurately.
  • Support patient education and maintain infection control standards.
