Job summary

ReFocus Eye Health is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing ophthalmology team. You will work closely with our physicians to collect patient histories, perform preliminary testing, and help administer diagnostic tests such as OCT and photography.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather comprehensive patient information to aid in accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Perform preliminary ophthalmic testing, including visual acuity and pupillary responses.
• Administer a range of diagnostic tests such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist ophthalmologists during minor surgeries and laser procedures.
• Streamline patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms with clinical staff.
• Support administrative tasks to ensure a smooth, organized workflow.
• Assist with administration of eye drops as needed and per clinical protocol.

Your Impact:

• Elevate patient care: Work closely with our ophthalmologists to gather comprehensive patient information, ensuring accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more.
• Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography.
• Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking.
• Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff.
• Administer eye drops: (Certification Required)
• Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow.
